Belt-Way Scale’s products are frequently used in the crushed stone industry. The use of scales on every product is considered best practice by the successful crushed stone producers worldwide.

Belt-Way conveyor belt scales on the Primary Plant are used to track, and often control, material feed to the surge pile and secondary plant. 

Belt-Way Scales are used in the Secondary Plant to track real-time production of the Crusher. The operator can set the crusher feed based on the Belt-Way conveyor belt scale rate (TPH) which maximizes production and product quality. Maintaining an optimal feed rate allows reduces down time caused by overloading the crusher. Belt-Way Scales are used all the way through the plant to monitor the feed into tertiary crushers and the amount of material recycled (returns). Belt-Way Scales are added to each product stacker conveyor to record daily totals for inventory tracking. 

The Finishing Plant and Sand Plant require Belt-Way conveyor belt scales for tracking inventory levels in stock piles. Real time analysis of inventory by product allows management to adjust crusher settings to vary product mix; more accurately meeting demands.

Blending Tunnels and Pugmills use our scales to accurately blend a specific ratio of different products.

The Belt-Way conveyor belt scale provides managers with the following information:
